Anderson, 83, of 381 Hallock St. died at 7:52 p.m. Wednesday (April 20, 2005) at her home. An area resident for most of her life, she was born March 20, 1922, in Olean, the daughter of Anthony M. and Anna M. Wiley Speranzo. She was a 1940 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Business College. In earlier years, she was employed as a teller for the former Bank of Jamestown. Along with her husband, she was associated in the operation of Anderson's Meat Market. She was a longtime communicant of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She was a member of the Westside Women's Club, the One Hundred Member Club of Jamestown High School and was very active over the years in organizing class reunions for the Class of 1940. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. She is survived by two sons: Michael A. and Timothy A. Anderson, both of Jamestown; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. ''Red'' Anderson, whom she married May 7, 1949, and who died Dec. 3, 1988. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
