Lundquist, 79, of 25 Kingsbury St., died at 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, in his home. A lifelong area resident, he was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Jamestown, the son of the late Hilmar and Ruth Johnson Lundquist. John attended Jamestown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1960. He was employed by Jamestown Metal Products, retiring in 1990. John was a member of the Lakewood Memorial Post 1286, American Legion, John W. Tiffany Post 53 Veterans of Foreign Wars, War Vets Recreation and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. His enjoyments were music and carpentry. He is survived by his wife, Marian L. ''Vonnie'' Fargo Lundquist, whom he married June 6, 1978; and a stepson, Grant H. Wolkoys of Jamestown; and two sisters: Lillian Johnson and Nancy Larson, both of Jamestown. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
