Author: DeeDavidson97 Surnames: WHEELER, FOLLETT Classification: death Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.chautauqua/8526.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: In Memoriam Amos WHEELER was born in Brookfield Madison CO NY July 18, 1805 He came to Villenova, returned to Madison Co married SALLY FOLLETT Feb 24, 1828 and returned to Villenova.During the 60 yrs of his stay here the immense forests have been changed to smiling pastures, meadowlands and grainfields. 5 children 4 sons 1 daughter increased the happiness of the parents. On Sept 1st 1847 a coffin and a shroud were bought for the first time and a beloved son was carried out to the silent burial place. Again on August 15th 1852 the daughter said good-bye and was taken over the river. a third time, August 25, 1879 and the wife and mother closed her eyes to earth; Then there was great grief for we have but one wife and mother. Then August 20, 1883 the father, Amos WHEELER departed this life, aged 78 yrs, 1 month 11 days.
