She was the widow of Hiram VORCE who was killed while on service with his regiment in Petersburg Virginia in June 1864. She was a woman of rare graces and character, devoted to the aged parents of her dead husband. The pall bearers were Curan? NORTHHAM, Jay MUNSON, Erastus LEFINGWELL, and Reuben WRIGHT. the first 3 of these acted in the same roll for her husband 26 yrs ago. Sept.16,1835-Mar.3,1890 b Ireland No Children Hiram Vorce , Enlistment Date: 20 Aug 1862 Enlistment Place: Westfield, New York Side Served: Union State Served: New York Service Record: Enlisted as a Private on 20 August 1862 at the age of 20. Enlisted in Company E, 112th Infantry Regiment New York on 20 Aug 1862. Promoted to Full Sergeant on 22 Oct 1862. Killed Company E, 112th Infantry Regiment New York on 28 Jun 1864 at Petersburg VA.
