He was very fleshy and his illness was serious. It was not believed by his family however that it was fatal, and the nearness of death was not suspected by them. Therefore it was a terrile shock to his wife when their little son Willie sent on an errand to his fathers room came out and declared he was dead. Mr MAUCHER was b in Germany Sept 24, 1840 came to America 18 yrs ago, since then except 4 yrs spent in Buffalo he has been here.
