You can also view some of the daily articles for free. If you go to the Rootsweb home page and go to the Chautauqa County Gen Web area you will find a link to the microfilmed Chautauqua County newspapers and where they are housed. I am trying to find out if they are indexed. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The Chautauqua Co Genealogical Society has indexed a number of the papers in the Dunkirk area. The Dunkirk Observer has been indexed from 1882 - 2000. They can be found at the CCGS location in the Barker Library in Fredonia. Copies are also available at the Reed Library microfilm room at the Fredonia SUNY campus. They also did indexes for the Fredonia Censor, some of the Grape Belt and the Forestville Free Press newspapers. These can also be purchased. A list of publications can be found at http://www.netsync.net/users/djyj/CCGS.htm Debbie ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2007 8:18 AM Subject: Re: [NYCHAUTA] How is the indexing of the Post Journal coming along??? > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: dpfahl_1 > Surnames: > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.chautauqua/21107.1/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > You can subscribe to the post-journal at www.post-journal.com.
