Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SRB.2ACE/11745 Message Board Post: Harlow Henry BREADS, a farmer of Westfield, Chautauqua Co NY, a native of that county, born on his fathers farm in Volusia, He was born Aug 4, 1866 Son of Isaac and Mary CASE BREADS His father Isaac, and his Uncles, John and William BREADS were from Herkimer CO NY and came to Chautauqua Co in 1862 and settled on unsettled land in Volusia, When the Breads brothers came it was mostly uncultivated and sparsley populated land, they they took part in pioneer efforts in this county., Isaac Breads father of Henry Harlow has been dead many years but the mother Mary CASE is still in good health, bearing in mind her age and lives with her son, Harlow was educated in the district school , near the farm, eventually he married and settled on a farm of 137 acres which had belonged to the EDDY family, one of the oldest pioneer families of Chautauqua Co and that section of Westfield, They have lived on the farm 22 yrs and Mrs Breads has lived there longer, she is of the EDDY family an! d att he time of her marriage to Harlow, it belonged to her mother, her father being dead. Mr Breads has much improved the property which is now a valuable dairy, stock and general farming estate. His marriage to Lizzie EDDY was on July 15, 1896 They had one child, Ralph Herbert BREADS who has grown to manhood and a veteran of the Great War, educated in the district schools, graduated from Westfield High School, and taken earnestly to agricultural occupations upon his fathers farm.
