DeVlieger, 80, of 606 Hoag Road, Panama, died at 3:46 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 20, 2005) in WCA Hospital. She was born May 13, 1925, in Albuquerque, N.M., a daughter of Otto and Beulah Malanky. In earlier years, she was employed at the former National Worsted Mills. She was a member of the Niobe Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Bert E. DeVlieger Sr. with whom she celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary March 18, 2005; three daughters: Carolyn Smith, Pamela DeVlieger and Charlotte McNeill, all of Jamestown; three sons: Carl J. Stevens of Jamestown, Calif., Robert E. DeVlieger of Panama and Bert E. DeVlieger Jr. of Elmira; 24 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Devin DeVlieger; and a sister, Clara Belle Ahlgren. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
