Faulkner, 76, of the Kimball Stand - Stockton Road, retired dairy farmer and well known foxtrapper, died early today, June 28, 1967, at the WCA Hospital following a lengthy illness Mr. Faulkner was born Aug. 31, 1890 in the family homestead in the Town of Ellery, the son of Delos and Mary Tefft Faulkner. He resided on the farm near Red Bird Corners which has been in the Tefft and Faulkner family since 1833, purchased originally by Mr. Faulkner's grandfather, Luke Tefft, a sergeant of the State Militia, from William Stowell who had bought it from the Holland Land Co. The present house, distinctive because of its tower, was built by Mr. Tefft in 1869. Mr. Faulkner sometimes trapped as many as 100 foxes in a month. (remainder of obit missing.......) Additional notes......... Warren Deloss Faulkner is buried in the Red Bird Cemetery. He married March 22, 1919 Edna Spooner. Edna born Feb. 14, 1900 town ot Stocktonand died July 16, 1994 WCA Hospitalat age 94. She is also buried in the Red Bird Cemetery. She was the daughter of Ira & Sophia Mathis Spooner. Their children included: Frances Edna Faulkner Martin; Allene Faulkner Piazza; Evelyn Beatrice Faulkner Sample; Lois Irene Faulkner Leslie; Ralph Warren Faulkner; Anne Hazel Faulkner Nickerson. Edna Spooner Faulkner attended Sinclairville High School. She assisted her husband with the dairy operation. She was a former member of the Centralia Grange, Stockton Rebeccas, Red Bird Cemetery Association and during W. W. II, she served as an Army aircraft spotter. She also was a 4-H Club leader. She was preceded in death by grandson Robert Pierce who died June 1992; 4 brothers - Ray, Ralph, Lee and Fay Spooner and one infant sister.
