Dye, 71, of 244 E. Elmwood Ave., died at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 13, 2002) in WCA Hospital. She was the widow of Lawrence G. ‘‘Spec’’ Dye, whom she married Jan. 31, 1981, in First United Methodist Church, Falconer, and who died Nov. 14, 1991. An area resident most of her life, she was born June 22, 1930, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of C. LeRoy and Freda I. Erickson Wren. She attended local schools and earlier had been employed by Loblaws Supermarket and later Bells Supermarket, retiring in 1979 as head cashier. She was a member of the Falconer United Methodist Church and had attended the Bemus Point United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ingjald Lodge 65, Independent Order of Vikings, the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 132, and the American Association of Retired Persons. She is survived by a brother, Fred Wren of Charlotte, N.C.; and a sister, Lois Collins of Pansoffee, Fla. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.! m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Timothy D. Phelps, pastor of the Falconer United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
