DiGregorio, 79, of 57 Frederick Blvd., died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 12, 2004) in his home. He was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Jamestown, the son of Giuseppe and Carmela Cusimano DiGregorio. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force as an airplane and engine mechanic. He earned the American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Jamestown as a letter carrier from 1953 to 1984. He is survived by his wife, Marian Tilaro DiGregorio, whom he married Oct. 15, 1949, in St. James Catholic Church; a son, Joseph A. DiGregorio of Jamestown; two daughters: Mary Ann Hallenback of Rochester and Carol Bell of Frewsburg; seven grandchildren: Matthew and Michael Campion and Christopher Bell, all of Frewsburg, Joseph Gerolomo DiGregorio of Jamestown, and Gabrielle Phillips, Jennifer and Gregory Hallenbeck, all of Rochester; three sisters: Sara Purpura of Jamestown, Vir! ginia Triscari of Camp Hill, Pa., and Sister Rose Therese DiGregorio of Buffalo. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.
