Ericson, 56, of Kennedy, died early today, Oct. 13, 1966, in Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo, after an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Kennedy, Mr. Ericson was born April 8, 1910, a son of Ernest A. and Lulu Malona Ericson. Mr. Ericson owned and operated a farm in Kennedy and had served for many years on the Kennedy Board of Education and also served as secretary-treasurer of the Kennedy Cemetery Association and acted as superintendent of the Kennedy Cemetery. Mr. Ericson had for many years been actively affiliated with bands in this area including the old Company E. Band, the Old Timers Band and the former Veterans of Foreign Wars Band. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Jane Bird Ericson; a son, Dale L. Ericson, Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. DeWitt Anderson, Jamestown; a niece, Mrs. Howard Rhodes, Champaign, Ill.; a nephew, Jerome Anderson, Schreveport, La. Burial will be in the Kennedy Cemetery.
