Starkweather, 35, of Amherst, formerly of 346 Cole Ave., died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1969, at his home in Amherst. A teacher in the Southwestern Central School system for six years, he had taught at both the Williamsville and Kenmore School systems before undertaking graduate study at Canisius University this past year. Mr. Starkweather was born in Jamestown, Nov. 20, 1933, a son of Floyd Lewis and Mabel Spetz Starkweather. He had served in Korea during his service in the U.S. Army in 1956-58. Surviving are his parents, of 246 Cole Ave.; two sisters, Mrs. Richard A. Johnson, Jamestown, and Mrs. Ronald Schrader, Fairport; three nieces, Linda Johnson, Sandra, Carol and Daniel Schrader. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne J. Hamilton, pastor of Fluvanna Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
