June 19, 1800, possibly in Schenectady Co., NY (according to "family" history"). He m. Sarah TEMMING who was b. on 30 Nov. 1806. They had 9 children, 8 girls and 1 boy: 1. Mary, b. 1825 in Schenectady or Herkimer Co., NY (according to census information); m. John B. SWART and had 5 children: Sarah Lucretia b. 1845 in NY; Alfred W., b. 1947 in NY; Theron C. (my g-gf) b. July 1949 in Russia, Herkimer Co.; Emma, b. 1852 in PA; Orlando/Olin/Aldon, b. 1855 in PA; and Edie/Edith, b. 1863 in NY. 2. Coonrad (or Conrad), b. 1830 supposedly in Schenectady Co., NY; m. (1) Sarah M. in Warren Co., PA, in 1850; Coorand (CONRAD) served in Civil War with Baldwins Indep. PA Inf.; m. (2) Mrs. Juliette Marsh. Sarah M. d. 16 Nov. 1893. Coonrad and Sarah had the following children: Charles H., Robert B., Emma E.,(*Married Edgar LANNING lived here in jamestown ) Fred E. & Frank E. (twins), Martin E, and Alice M. 3. Sarah L., b. 1837. 4. Nancy E. b. 1846. William ROWLAND and Sarah TEMMING ROWLAND came to Lander, Farmington Twp., Warren Co., PA, in 1850. Family history says they came from Schenectady Co.; however, John SWART and Mary ROWLAND SWART came from Herkimer Co. because their son, Theron C., was b. there in July 1949. There are ROWLAND'S in Herkimer Co. So, are they the Herkimer or Schenectady Co. ROWLANDS??!! There is a William ROWLAN in Russia, Herkimer Co., in 1840. Sometimes Coonrad's name was spelled without the "D" on the end. Additionally, William ROWLAND'S father is also WILLIAM who, again according to family history, served in the War of 1812. I have NOT been able to verify that fact at all. Any help would be appreciated. Would love to find new cousins and share research!
