She was the widow of Verne Sharp who died Dec. 13, 1945. She was born in Clearfield, Pa., April 6, 1888, the daughter of Ephriam and Mary Orr Rowles and resided in Jamestown about 60 years. At one time Mrs. Sharp was employed by the Jamestown Public Schools in charge of child care at the Sherman Street School. She attended First Baptist Church; was a member of the Jamestown Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons; the Golden Age Society; and the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Farrell H. Sharp, Kennedy, and James A. Sharp, Camillus, N.Y.; former recreation director of Jamestown; six grandchildren, Mrs. Roger Mosher and Mrs. Robert Brooks, Kennedy; Mrs. Raymond Harwood, Falconer; Mrs. Robert Bly, Jamestown; Sheryl and Cynthia Sharp, of Camillus, N.Y.; 10 great-grandchildren, and a niece, Mrs. Charles H. Bucy, Jamestown. Burial will be in Clearfield, Pa. Cemetery.
