Reslink, 81, of 8715 Knowlton Road, Clymer, died at 10 a.m. Friday (Aug. 1, 2003) in the Corry Manor Nursing Home. He was born April 6, 1922, in Clymer, the son of the late Albert and Freda Legters Reslink.He was a graduate of Clymer High School and was a charter member of the Future Farmers of America. He also was a graduate of Alfred Agricultural and Technical School. He had owned and operated his dairy farm on the Ravlin Hill Road, retiring in 1981. He was a former member of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association and the Chautauqua County Cooperative Extension. After retiring from farming, he worked part time for the Clymer Central School and Maplevale Farms Food Service Distributor. He was a member of the Clymer Hill Reformed Church and Sunday school, and had served as deacon and elder, secretary for the Sunday school and representative of the church to the Rochester Classic. He is survived by his wife, Irene Hoitink Shields Reslink, whom he married Feb. 14, 1987; a son, Paul Reslink of Corry, Pa.; two daughters: Shirley Wright of Columbus, Pa., and Phyllis Prather of Corry; three grandchildren: Sgt. Melvin Wright, serving in the Persian Gulf, Mellissa Wright of Columbus and Mary Prather of Corry; one great-granddaughter; two stepsons: Paul Shields Jr. of Erie, Pa., and Jack Shields of Sherman; three stepdaughters: Mary Lou Hockenbery of Corry, Phyllis Johnson of Clymer and Linda Mura of Syracuse; 14 step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; and one step-great great grandson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Esther Kenyon Reslink, whom he married March 26, 1949, and who died Dec. 18, 1976; and a sister, Edith Schruers, who died March 7, 2000. Burial will be in Clymer Center Cemetery.
