She was born April 26, 1913, in French Creek, the daughter of Willie Frank and Rose Estella Richard Bayle.She is survived by five daughters: Shirley Gravink of Jackson, N.H., Charleen Damon of Cutting, Barbara Poorman of Russell, Pa., Pastor Jacqueline Rhodes of Jamestown and Kathryn Dawson of Westlake, Ore.; a son: Douglas DeShazer of Port Richey, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Bemis of Clymer; a stepson, Lyle Damon of Sherman; a stepdaughter, Betty Pittcavage of Harbor Creek, Pa.; seven step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter DeShazer, whom she married Nov. 12, 1946, and who died Nov. 13, 2001; three brothers: Albert, Frank and Carl Bayle; and a sister Lena Hulett.
