Giles of Elm Flats Road, Mayville, were honored on their 25th wedding anniversary at a party Sunday afternoon at the Hotel Davies. More than 100 guests were present to extend congratulations. For the event, Mrs. Giles was attired in a grey-green shantung ensemble. Their daughter, Mrs. Robert Bell, presented her mother a pink rose corsage and her father a carnation boutonniere. In addition to Mrs. Bell, the affair was arranged by their four other daughters, Mrs. Raymond Gilbert, Linda, Mikki and Cheryl Giles. The couple also have a young son. The buffet table was centered with a tiered cake made by Mrs. Edna Loveless. Mikki and Linda Giles poured and the cake was served by Mr. and Mrs. William Stowell. Other aides were Mrs. Howard Collins, Mrs. Douglas Olson, Mrs. William Bentley and Mrs. Daniel Davies. The former Dorotha Arnold and Arthur Giles were married Sept. 20, 1941 by the Rev. Curtis E. Gould of the Dewittville E.U.B. Church. Attendants were her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Arnold, who were present for the anniversary party. Among the many gifts was a money tree. The couple also have three grandchildren.
