Till, 58, of Gerry, died at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1969, at WCA Hospital. He was the husband of the former Shirley Simmons, to whom he was married July 10, 1935. Mr. Till was born in Irwin, Pa., feb. 18, 1911, the son of Axel and Marie Olson Till. He had been employed as a carpenter by Ludwig Construction Co., and had also been a partner with the late Orrin Loucks in the Handy Grocery Store at Kimball Stand for 30 years. He was a confirmed member of Bethel Lutheran Church, a member of Moose Lodge and Carpenters Union, a former member and past president of the Gerry Lions Club, and a former member of Gerry Fire Dept. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Harold B. Till, Syracuse; a daughter, Judy E Till, Rochester; three grandchildren, Bruce, Brian and Jennifer Till; two brothers, Algot Till, Jamestown; and Emil Till, Lakewood; and a sister, Mrs. Robert W. Douglas, Jamestown. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Bearers at the funeral of Hjalmer W. Till were:Gordon E. Schermerhorn, Ralph O. Till, Henry B. Till, Wilbert Till, James R.
