She was born June 26, 1919, in Matamoras, Pa., the daughter of William and Edith Jones Middaugh. A 1936 graduate of Matamoras High School, she was a member of their girls’ championship basketball team. In earlier years, she was employed by the former Art Metal Corp. and was a member of the former Epworth United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Francis Gore; a daughter, Sally Stravato of Jamestown; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Heath of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Middaugh. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
