Winters, 56, of 20 East Fifth St., died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 15, 1967) in WCA Hospital. He was the owner and operator of the Winters Candy and Cake Shop, 5 W. Main St., Falconer. He was born in Jamestown, April 7, 1911, the son of James S. and Ivy Willoughby Winters. He was a member of First Methodist Church. A 1928 graduate of Jamestown High School, he was a member of Alpha Zeta Fraternity, Mt. Moriah Lodge, F. & A. M., Ismalia Shrine, Jamestown Shrine Club, Ira Lou Spring Post, American Legion. A veteran of World War II, he served as a staff sergeant in Italy and North Africa with the U.S. Army Artillery. He is survived by his wife, the former Charlotte Peterson; a son, James M. Winters, Jackson, Miss.; one brother, R. Raymond Winters, Hillsboro, Calif. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Bearers at the funeral of Theodore B. Winters were: Michael Hjalmarson, Gilbert Kling, J. Emerson Weaver, James Linn, Eugene L. Katzenberger and Elmer Nelson. Attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. James M. Winters of Jackson, Miss., and R. Raymond Winters of Hillsboro, Calif.
