He is survived by a brother, Clayton M. Jones of jamestown; one nephew, one niece and several cousins. Born in Jamestown Nov. 5 1884, he had lived in Jamestown and Celoron all his life. An active member of the Celeron Fire Department for 35 years, he, with the late Clayton Bratt, was an important factor in the organization of the Chautauqua County Firemen's Association, taking an active part in all its affairs. He had served as village treasurer and as collector of Celoron, and was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, the Waltonians and the Chautauqua County Historical Society. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Falconer Funeral Home, with Rev. R. S. Naylor of the Celoron Methodist Church officiating, Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery, Jamestown NY.
