She was born Nov. 6, 1935, in Westfield, the daughter of Clarence and Laura M. Breads Saxton Sr. She was a 1953 graduate of Westfield Academy Central School. She had been employed by the Westfield Agency and in later years by the Mayville Tremaine Agency as a claims manager. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield. She was a member and four-time matron of the Columbine Crown 128 Order of Eastern Stars, a current member of Acanthus Chapter Order of Eastern Stars, and served as district deputy grand matron for Chautauqua District in 1994. Her main love was her four grandchildren, her cats and her garden. She is survived by a daughter, Catherine ‘‘Cathi’’ Flore of Amherst; a son, Chris E. Chapman of Indianapolis; four gr! andsons: Michael W., Ryan E. and David J. Flore, all of Amherst, and Samuel E. Chapman of Indianapolis; and a sister, Elinor Dalrymple of Westfield. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence J. ‘‘Bud’’ Saxton Jr. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Westfield.
