He was born Aug. 26, 1885, in Union city, Pa., and spent most of his life in Lander, Pa., later living in Sugargrove, Pa., and Frewsburg before coming to Jamestown. He was a retired farmer. His wife, Florence Babcock Hitchcock, died April 3, 1941. Surviving are a son, Alton Hitchcock, of the Chandler Street address; oine daughter, Mrs. Harold Dobson, Sugargrove, Pa. Burial will be in Foster Cemetery, Lander.
