Buzard, 96, formerly of 207 Parkview Ave., died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday (May 23, 2001) in the Lutheran Retirement Home. A lifelong area resident, she was born Jan. 28, 1905, in Antrim, Pa., the daughter of Andrew J. and Anna K. Peterson Anderson. She was a 1923 graduate of Jamestown High School and had been employed as an office worker by the former Blackstone Corporation, the former Bigelow’s Department Store and the Chautauqua County United Fund. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was involved in the Sunshine Society, the Fellowship Guild, and the former Ladies Aid Society of Immanuel Church. She was a member of the Allen Park Women’s Club, the Order of the Amaranth, Chautauqua Court 38, where she was a past royal matron. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy A. Kling of Jamestown; two grandchildren: Daniel R. Kling of Jamestown and Laurie A. Hinton of Painesville, Ohio; five great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-granddaughter; and a! stepgreat-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Buzard, whom she married Oct. 20, 1926, and who died Feb. 3, 1982; a son, Charles Raymond Buzard, who died in the Korean conflict in 1954; and six sisters: Hilma Anderson, Hilda Alm, Lucille Falciglia, Elsie Crooks, Hannah Carlson and Ida Weekman. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
