Vicklund, 103, formerly of 1425 Newland Ave., died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 30, 2005) in the Lutheran Retirement Home. She was born Sept. 24, 1901, in Clarington, Pa., the daughter of William and Hattie Cook Rossey. She was employed by Royal Upholstery as a seamstress, and in earlier years by Fashion Clothes. She was a member of Salvation Army and its Ladies Aide Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erick T. Vicklund, whom she married Dec. 23, 1937, and who died Aug. 17, 1992; three brothers: Raymond, Banks and Calvin Rossey; and four sisters: Verla Ishman, Mabel Brown, Ila Kent and Aldine Clark. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Christ Chapel of the Lutheran Retirement Home. The Rev. J. Kenneth Soderquist, chaplain of Lutheran Retirement Home, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
