Her husband died May 21, 1960. Mrs. Stafford was a professor of language at Jamestown Community College. Mrs. Stafford was one of the first women to graduate at the University of Munich as a mechanical engineer. She was a member of the American Association of University Professors and the American Association of University Women, the Moon Brook Country Club and had been active with the Family Service, Inc., for many years. Mrs. Stafford had lived in Jamestown since 1940. She was born in Berlin, Germany, May 8, 1898, to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Weigl. Surviving are a son, Ralph Stafford, Vienna, Austria; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Shaper, Harrison; five grandchildren, Alan J. Bolman and Daphne F. Bolman, Jessica W. Stafford, Victoria Hagen Stafford and Michael H. Stafford; a brother, Professor Egon Weigl, and a sister, Trude Weigl, both in Berlin. Burial will be at Beth-El Cemetery.
