She was born Feb. 10, 1910, in Baselice, Italy, the daughter of Nicola and Chiara Lembo Iampietro. She came to the United States in 1926, and was employed by Hall’s and Cala’s restaurants. She was a member of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church and was one of its founding members. Surviving are a son, Robert Conroe of Jamestown; a daughter, Emily Rickard of McKean, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Rosemary Thornton of Apex, N.C., James Rickard of Yorner, N.C., Mark Rickard of Pittsburgh, Daniel Rickard of McKean and Lisa Levenstein and Matthew and Michael Conroe, all of Jamestown; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Sidney Conroe, whom she married June 25, 1938, in Jamestown, and who died May 16, 1994; and two brothers: Leonard and Frank Iampietro. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.
