Mr. Karr had been employed as an electrician at the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., retiring in 1958. He was born in N. Warren, Pa., May 2, 1881, a son of Edson and Mary Ann Crocker Karr. He had lived in Jamestown 60 years. Mr. Karr was a member of the Golden Age Society. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nellie Bloom Karr; two daughters, Mrs. William Laird, Hickory, N.C.; and Miss Mildred Karr, Jamestown; two grandsons, Gene Brown, Kennedy, and Randall Laird, Hickory, and several great grandchildren. Mr. Karr was the last surviving member of family of eight children. Burial will be in Russell, Pa. Cemetery.
