Brink, 81, formerly of Frewsburg Rest Home and Lakewood, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday (March 13, 2002) in Heritage Park Health Care Center. She was born March 5, 1921, in Germany, the daughter of Herbert and Alice Berwin. She was raised in Herefordshire, England, and worked for the Land Army during World War II. Coming to the United States in 1945, she was employed by the Beechwood Country House as a waitress for 43 years. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener and loved animals. She is survived by a daughter, Jean Kemp of Jamestown; a son, Alan Brink of Lakewood; and two granddaughters: Jodi VanMeter of Wayne, Pa., and Lindsay Kemp of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Einar W. Brink, whom she married Sept. 11, 1944, and who died Dec. 17, 1975. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
