He had been in ill health for a year. He was born Aug. 10, 1918, at Ellery Center, the son of Elliott and Margaret Warnick Maus, and had resided in Stockton 10 years. He was married to the former Jean Lanning in February 1954 at Warren, Pa. He was a veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Margaret Maus, Jamestown; one son, Ronald Mason, Stockton; three daughters, Linda Mason, Stockton, Teresa Eddy, Ashville, and Margaret Maus, Jamestown; four grandchildren: five sisters, Mrs. Clara Sams and Mrs. Lenora Murdock, Bemus Point, Mrs. Florence Shattuck, Hamlet, Miss Viola Maus, and a sister, Alice, both of Jamestown; three brothers, Lester Maus, Magnolia, LaVerne Maus, Sherman, and LaZalle Maus, Westfield; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Stockton Cemetery.
