Hallberg, 69, died at her home in Ellery Center Wednesday afternoon April 24, 1968. Mrs. Hallberg, a resident of the Town of Ellery for the past 60 years, was born Nov. 22, 1898, in Frewsburg, a daughter of Hiley J. and Jennie Hazzard Markham. She was a life member of the Ellery Center Firemen's Auxiliary, a 46-year member of the Ellery Center Grange, and a member of the Fluvanna Cemetery Society. Mrs. Hallberg and her husband, Fred G. Hallberg, marked their Golden Wedding anniversary Dec. 30, 1967. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Freders, Jamestown, and Mrs. Janice Benson, Bemus Point; a son, Darold E. Hallberg, Dunkirk; seven grandchildren, Thomas Hallberg, Ada, O., Ronald Freders, University of North Carolina, Paula Frederes and Gordon Frederes, both of Jamestown, Brenda Benson, Jeffrey Benson, and Sherrie Benson, all of Bemus Point, a sister, Mrs. Ruby Dieter, Stockton, and a brother, Alton Markham, Frewsburg. Burial will be in Fluvanna Cemetery.
