He was born March 10, 1902, in Ellery Center, a son of Emel and Iva Taber Lund. A lifelong Chautauqua County resident, he was employed as a farm hand for various farmers throughout Chautauqua County. He was also employed in the late 50s by Midway Park as a maintenance man. He was a member of the Ellery Center Baptist Church and rang the church bell for services for more than 25 years. Sitting in front of his home, he enjoyed observing people. Surviving are eight nieces and nephews, including John and Dianne Brown of Ellery Center, with whom he made his home. He was preceded in death by four brothers: William, Ralph, Emel and Albert Lund. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Ellery Center Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Walton, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Centralia Union Cemetery.
