Mrs. Harper was born February 20, 1909 in Indian Lake, NY, the daughter of the late Howard and Edith (Wilson) Fish. Blanche retired from teaching in 1973 after an enjoyable career, first teaching in Indian Lake, NY, then Cassadaga Valley School System, the Jamestown and Bemus Point Schools, and retired from Westfield Academy. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Westfield, the NYS Retired Teachers Assoc. and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed antiques and hook rugging. She is survived by one daughter: Erva Ellen Sturgess of Unadilla, NY, and her four grandchildren: Kathy Ouimet; Kevin Sturgess; Keith Sturgess; Kelly Spencer; 2 great-grandchildren also survive. Predeceased by her husband, Albro Harper and by her brother, Douglas Fiah. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Mason Funeral Home, Westfield.
