He appeared on the census in 1850 in Pike, Wyoming Co., New York. Listed as John M. Stafford, a blacksmith, with wife Abigail and children Amelia, Harriet E., Mary A., Lovilla A. and Elizabeth F. He died about February 25, 1860. He was married to Mary Ann MCKEE on December 31, 1835. John M. STAFFORD and Mary Ann MCKEE had the following children: +2 i. Amelia STAFFORD (born about 1837). He was married to Abigail JUDSON about February 10, 1841. Abigail JUDSON was born about 1812 in New York. She died about August 14, 1855. John M. STAFFORD and Abigail JUDSON had the following children: 3 i. Harriet E. STAFFORD was born about 1842 in New York. She died about December 23, 1860. +4 ii. Mary Augusta STAFFORD (born about 1844). 5 iii. Lovilla A. STAFFORD was born about 1846 in New York. She died about March 28, 1851. +6 iv. Elizabeth F. STAFFORD (born about 1849). SECOND GENERATION 2. Amelia STAFFORD was born about 1837 in New York. She was married to F. Norton GRIFFITH on December 23, 1852. F. Norton GRIFFITH was born about 1825 in New York. He appeared on the census in 1860 in Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa. Listed as F. N. Griffith, a blacksmith, with wife Amelia, children Wm & Lizzie E. and Mary Stafford age 16 b. NY. Amelia STAFFORD and F. Norton GRIFFITH had the following children: 7 i. William GRIFFITH was born about 1853 in New York. 8 ii. Lizzie E. GRIFFITH was born about 1859 in Iowa. 4. Mary Augusta STAFFORD was born about 1844 in Marsthon, New York. She was married to Calvin E. KILPATRICK. Calvin E. KILPATRICK was born about 1843 in New York. He appeared on the census in 1870 in Preston, Wayne Co., Pennsylvania. Listed as Calvin Kilpatrick, a farmer, with wife Mary and children Everett and Arthur. Mary Augusta STAFFORD and Calvin E. KILPATRICK had the following children: 9 i. Everett KILPATRICK was born about 1865 in New York. +10 ii. Arthur KILPATRICK (born on May 9, 1869). 6. Elizabeth F. STAFFORD was born about 1849 in New York. She appeared on the census in 1860 in Prattsville, Greene Co., New York. Listed as Elizabeth Stafford living in the household of probable Uncle and Aunt Andrew E. (age 46) and Nwey (age 44) Judson. Also listed are Lydia A. Judson age 4 and Harriet Judson age 82. All born in NY. She was married to Louis J. RICHARD (PICHARD). THIRD GENERATION 10. Arthur KILPATRICK was born on May 9, 1869 in Illinois. He died on September 17, 1949. He was married to Edith Amy CARPENTER on June 17, 1896. Edith Amy CARPENTER was born on March 16, 1871. She died on May 30, 1971. She was buried in Scott Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania.
