Wigren, 75, of 2218 Willard St. Ext., died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 27, 2003) in WCA Hospital. A lifelong area resident, she was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Jamestown, the daughter of Richard and Pearl Stormer Cooper. She was a 1946 graduate of Jamestown High School. In earlier years, she was employed by Hopes Windows and had also worked for the former Loblaws and the Sylvania Company during World War II. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was active in the Sunshine Society and the Fellowship Guild. She had also served on the Babe Ruth World Series decorating committee. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed watching the birds from her home. She is survived by her husband, Glenn C. Wigren, whom she married Oct. 19, 1957; a son, Tom R. Wigren of Bemus Point; two grandsons: Derek Cissell of Philadelphia and Eric Cissell of Bemus Point; a brother, Richard Cooper of Falconer; and two sisters: Pat Lawrence and Marjorie Recker, both of Jamestown. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
