    3. Tammy, I believe the niece [daughter] is named Cora rather than Cosa. The last name Langus does seem unusual, but in 1880 there are 15 by that name and each census year after more than the preceding years. You might also look for "Langers" or 'Sangers" as in looking over the 1880 census page, many times L and S are the same or similar and there seems to be no consistency to how the enumerator formed the letters. Going back to the 1870 census there is an Almina Palmer, age 18, b. NY living in Catskill, Greene Co., NY in the family of Oliver and Henrietta Palmer. There is another Almina Palmer in Oneida Co. but she is too old, age 37 in 1870. There are four Alminas in 1900 in Chaut. Co. but none the right age.
