Bloom, 87, of 2968 West Oak Hill Road, died at 6:42 p.m. Friday Aug. 24, 2001 in his home. He was born Sept. 27, 1913, in Rockton, Pa., a son of Stace and Bessie McMillen Bloom. He had been a 36-year employee of Marlin Rockwell Corp., retiring in 1978. He enjoyed gardening and working around and building onto his house. Surviving are three daughters: Sheryl R. Bloom, Susan J. Bloom, both of Jamestown, and Sandra K. Adams of Belevue, Neb.; two sons: Terry L. Bloom of Falconer and Larry E. Bloom of Jamestown; eight grandchildren: Dunstin D. Bloom, Ryan W. Kennelly, David M. Bloom, Terrence R. Bloom and Stacey M. Ryan, all of Jamestown, and Vicki Adams and Sara Beth Adams, both of Belevue, and Randi Thomas of Okeechobee, Fla.; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaurite Bloom; and his second wife, Nellie E. Kiffer Bloom; a sister, Nellie Wescott; and three brothers: George, Harry and Ralph Bloom. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
