At a recent meeting of my local Genealogy Society (in Texas), a member presented a "Show and Tell" of treasures to be found on Ebay. He showed a Methodist Hymnal that he had purchased. The inscription inside the front copy says: Presented to Rachel Wellman on her weding day Feb 18th 1851 by her Father Barnabus Wellman of Ashville New York Rachel appears to be a granddaughter of Barnabus Wellman 1756-1847, an early settler of Chautauqua County.
