Smith Mrs. Helen Mary Vandewark Smith of Centralia, wife of Ernest Smith, died Saturday afternoon [ September 13, 1930 ] at the W.C.A. Hospital, aged 27 years. Beside her husband the deceased is survived by three children. Allen, Kathleen and Esther Smith; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Vandewark; and a brother, Raymond Vandewark, all of Centralia; a sister, Mrs. Gift Smith of Ellery and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.S. Vandewark of this city. The funeral will be held from the home of her parents at Centralia, tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2 P.M. Burial will be in Centralia Cemetery." Rev. Mr. DeRoss, pastor of a United Brethren Church at Meadville, Pa., officiated, assisted by Rev. C.E. Koonce, pastor of the Stockton Methodist Episcopal Church. The bearers were Fernando Smith, Daniel Smith, Ray Smith, Raymond Vandewark, Gerald Sherman (sic) and Albert Lund. The interment was in Centralia cemetery. Besides friends and relatives from Dewittville, Stockton, Jamestown and Falconer, Mr. and Mrs. Blair Link of Buffalo were present from away."
