"Wink" Larson, 85, of 45 Smith Ave., Celoron, died at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001, in WCA Hospital. An area resident most of her life, she was born April 12, 1915, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Esther Pearson Oste Johnson. She attended Jamestown Publis Schools and in earlier years had worked for the Algot Larson Family of Jamestown for several years. She was an active member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Lakewood, where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Lutheran Church Women, the Altar Guild, the Gloria Deiers Senior Group and also served on the Auxiliary Board of the Gustavus Adolphus Childrens Home. She enjoyed doing crafts and baking for her family and friends. She had a special love for her family and treasured her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Reece W. Larson, whom she married June 21, 1941; a daughter, Sylvia Stenander of Kiantone; a son, Daniel C. Larson of Jamestown; three grandchildren: Matthew and Cherie Stenander, both of Pittsburgh and Christopher Larson of Jamestown; one great-granddaughter; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Gordon Oste of Ellery Center and Duane Oste of Fluvanna. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Wallace, Clair, and Kenneth Oste. Arrangements by the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fluvanna Cemetery.
