A lifelong area resident, she was born March 10, 1931, in Jamestown, the daughter of Samuel and Jessie LaMarca Mistretta. She had attended Jamestown Public Schools, and prior to retirement was employed for many years by the former Jamestown Lounge Co. as an upholsterer. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church. Over the years, she enjoyed China painting, bowling with her friends and loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Nelson J. Garifi of Jamestown, whom she married Sept. 22, 1951; a daughter, Josanne M. Wilson of Jamestown; a son, Nelson J. Garifi Jr. of Jamestown; six grandchildren: and a sister, Clara Behrje of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Anthony Garifi; and a brother, Marion P. Mistretta, who died Aug. 14, 1994. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert A. Stolinski, parochial vicar will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy S! epulchre Cemetery.
