Lund, 85, of the Lutheran Retirement Home, formerly of 20 Englewood Ave., died at 7:14 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 30, 2004) in the nursing home. A native of Jamestown, she was born June 4, 1919, the daughter of Oscar C. and Ellen Nordstrom Daniels. She was the widow of C. Courtney Lund, whom she married May 6, 1939, and who died March 15, 2004. She was a 1937 graduate of Jamestown High School and a member of 100 Member Club. She was a switchboard operator at the Jamestown Board of Education for 10 years. She was a member and confirmed in First Covenant Church and active in Covenant Women, choir and Friendship Circle. She was also a member of Norton Club, WCA Hospital Auxiliary, Mozart Club and YWCA. She is survived by two daughters: Sandra Lund of Minneapolis, Minn., and Susan L. Lindahl of Jamestown; two grandchildren: Garrett Lindahl of Erie and Cynthia Gray of Russell; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Daniels of Hudson, Ohio. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel C. Lund, who died April 6, 1969; and three sisters: Helen Davidson, Evelyn Daniels and Linnea Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the First Covenant Church. ! The Rev. Norman G. Bagaas, pastor, and David B. Larson, director of visitation, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
