''Fred'' Saddler Sr., 69, of 138 Hazeltine Ave., died Sunday (April 27, 2003) in Hamot Medical Center, Erie. An area resident all of his life, he was born July 7, 1933, in Cassadaga, the son of Roland and Emily Kennelly Saddler. He was employed by the former Vac Air Alloys Corp. for 24 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Moose Lodge and American Association of Retired Persons. He is survived by two daughters: Bonnie Moore of Cattaraugus and Lorri Straight of Jamestown; four sons: Robert N. ''Skip'' Saddler of Erie, Frederick J. Saddler Jr., Jeffrey Davis and Scott A. Saddler, all of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren: seven great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters: Debra K. Francis and Julie J. Cusimano, both of Jamestown; two stepsons: Bruce L. Nelson of Falconer and Brian A. Nelson of Gray, Tenn.; eight stepgrandchildren: six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Tanner of Jamestown.He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores M. Jensen Saddler, whom he married Aug. 26, 1978, and who died Nov. 28, 2001; and a stepdaughter, Sharyn Ann Nelson Rizzo on March 22, 2003. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
