Ruffino, 96, of Tanglewood Manor and Colfax Street, died at 7:47 p.m. Monday (Aug. 22, 2005) in Tanglewood Manor. A native of Jamestown and a California resident from 1948 until 1975, she was born June 7, 1909, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Graziano. She was the widow of Samuel Ruffino, whom she married Dec. 28, 1945, and who died July 21, 1975. She was a 1928 graduate of Jamestown High School and 1931 from Fredonia Normal School. She was employed as a teacher by Northside School from 1937 until 1945, Charles Street School from 1945 until 1948 and in Pasadena, Calif. from 1948 until her retirement in 1975. Surviving are her nieces and nephews Jack and Ann Hayes, Joe, Alice, Mary Beth, Jerome and Amy Trass and Bob and Sara Jean Morrell. She was preceded in death by four sisters: Mary Trass on Nov. 6, 2000, Josephine Drozda, August 1997, Kate J. Teresi, 1952 and Lena Trass in 1948; and two brothers: Joseph Trass, Dec. 1, 1997 and Samuel A. Trass on March 20, 1991.! Burial will be in the Holy Sephulchre Cemetery.
