Osberg, 77, formerly of 634 Barrows Avenue, Jamestown, died at 11:00 p.m. Friday(Nov. 30, 1990) in Edgeworoth Center, Portsmouth, NH. She was the widow of Albert E. Osberg, who died Sept 30, 1982. She was born Sept. 26, 1913 in Clymer, Pa., a daughter of Robert R. and Florence E. Metcalfe Baxter. A New Hampshire resident since 1983, she was a former Jamestown resident for 37 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She was also a member of Ladies of the Rebekah Lodge, Eastern Star and the Jamestown General Hospital Auxiliary. Also a member of John W. Tiffany Post VFW Auziliary and Three Ring Circle. Surviving are a daughter, Gwendolyn Knowltron of York, ME, 6 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Charles and George Baxter, both of Jamestown. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James David Thompson, Jr., who died Aug. 26, 1982 and a brother Lloyd D. Baxter. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
