Cherico, 87, of Clarence, formerly of Buffalo and Kittaning, Pa., died Saturday (Oct. 6, 2001) in Buffalo General Hospital. She was born Aug. 20, 1914, in Sagamore, Pa., the daughter of George and Anna Wargo Yorko. She worked in Kittaning as a waitress and cashier. She had worked as a seamstress in Buffalo and as a riveteer during World War II. She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Cherico of Clarence, whom she married Dec. 28, 1939; a daughter, Rita Gale Ruszceky of Dallas; a grandson, Edward Fenn of Clarence; and a brother. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Burial will be in Mina Cemetery.
