The county in MA where Heber was b. was exactly what I was looking for. Now - another question - do we know without a doubt that Loammi was Heber's son? Do we have sources I can cite? I'm doing this to try to prove a Supplemental lineage for DAR - and they're tough. It's not enough to trace the lineage - I have to prove it as well. I'd gotten the military info on Heber - thanks. And BTW - there were actually 2 Heber Cowdens listed as having served in the Rev. War, one from Concord, NH, and the other from MA. The name is so unusual, I'm wondering if they might be the same man? When the Boston Alarms went out, militias from neighboring states took part, and this is why I'm asking. Heber also showed up in Albany NY in the 1790 Census, then later in Busti, NY. Thanks again. Anything else that anybody knows about Heber would be appreciated. Marti
