My lines spread far and wide, and with the "older folks" in the family gone, I often am clueless as to the names of various cousins and other relatives. This leaves me unable to proceed with research. But then, out of nowhere, I will find a "random obit" that might even come from the family my person married into, or some source like that, where I would not have had any clue to look, and that source will be just full of facts, names, etc. that open up many doors. I, for one, really appreciate these obituary postings and don't find them especially "random"!
