Lundgren, 84, of 140 Southwestern Dr., died at 12:09 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 20, 2005) in WCA Hospital. Coming to the United States in 1924, he was born July 4, 1921, in Sweden, a son of Arvid and Freda Lundgren. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1946. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Ingjald Lodge 65 IOV as club manager, where he worked for more than 40 years. Besides the Vikings, he was a member of Camp Street United Methodist Church, serving as a trustee and working on the church newsletter, and the Jamestown Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife, the former Janice Nelson, whom he married May 3, 1947; a daughter, Darlene Walker of Lakewood, and a brother, Ragnar Lundgren of Valrica, Fla. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Lundgren, and a sister, Ellen Lundgren. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
